"Dreams of Serenity"

Original acrylic painting on an 18 x 24 inch stapled back canvas. Sides of canvas are painted black.
Sealed with a glossy varnish to protect the painting from dust and UV rays.

About this piece:  4 1/2 years ago when I left an abusive relationship I had re occuring dreams of running away into the forest to esacpe my ex. One night while running through the forest I ended up here, at this random tipi in the middle of the woods with the moonlight shining behind it. 
I felt so at peace and calm when I arrived to this place, something I hadnt felt for many years. Someone was inside the tipi but I never made it in there to meet them. 
I think this dream was a way for my spirit to tell me "It's going to be okay, you're safe now, you dont have to keep running away".
